The prime Minister of Biafra internal government, His Excellency, Michael Mbaji on Tuesday flagged off digital transformation policy of the government as the ministry of information trained youths and young ones on Information and Communications Technology with a call on the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity to launch themselves into the technology initiatives of the ministry.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of the first phase of the training to participants at Biafra seat of power, Owerri, Prime minister Mbaji Michael urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity provided to maximise the potentials in the technology world and the government as well.
“I congratulate you for successfully going through the programme, in spite of the hitches. ICT has become the fulcrum around which economies of local, international agencies and even govermnment at all levels revolve.

“It has permeated lives and livelihoods, opening vast opportunities for newer, faster, better and more reliable ways for people to interact, do business and seek help in various ways, including developing ideas on how set goals can be achieved.”
Satisfied with the level of commitment of the youths in the just concluded empowerment programme, which is currently in its first phase, and free of charge for all participants, the minister of information, Justice Callista Amamgbo said at the end of the training, the beneficiaries would be provided with assistance that would enable them begin their journey in their various fields of training.

She, however, explained that the national government of Biafra authority has already opened discussions with DigiTech company and organisations in the States to further train some of them as soon as they complete the first phase of the training.
“The essence of the training is to equip the youths with digital skills that will drive digital transformation, address youth restiveness, and create employment and wealth in the States as new nation.
The training is in phases and the first phase has concluded for all categories of ICT skills for the youths and young ones in the nation,” Amamgbo said.
In addition, well meaning youths across the globe are deploying ICT to prepare for and access economic opportunities, career counseling, job matching, entrepreneurship and agriculture.
“Because economic opportunities are a key pull factor for youth migration of Biafrans as they do so due to the lack of opportunities for employments and personal growth in their homes, communities and our parent country, Nigeria.
Two beneficiaries Vitalis Akunna and Patrick Onwukwe, who responded on behalf of others thanked the minister, Amamgbo for the training and provision of assistance.
They commended the Biafra internal government for making their dreams a reality and pledged to leverage on the opportunity provided by the national government to become ICT independent and experts.
