The traditional ruler of Ikem-Ivite autonomous community, His Royal Majesty, (Ide) Eze Akajiofo (2), Ignatius Adili-Ajana has announced the 2022 annual Iwaji festival for his people
His Majesty who made this known while speaking to our correspondent in his palace at Ikem- Ivite autonomous community in Anambra-East local government area of Anambra state, noted that after due consultation with the elders of the land and kingmakers, Sunday 4th September (Afo) was set aside for these year’s new yam festival.
According to the Anambra monarch, he stated that the date is in line with the custom and tradition of Ikem-Ivite ancient kingdom.
The monarch urged all the sons and daughters of Ikem Ivite community, both home and abroad partake in the ancient tradition of their people. He also invited friends of Ikem-Ivite and well-wishers to come and celebrate with them.
